Recall that hoodlums invaded prisons across the country during this unrest, freeing inmates. Benin prison took it's own share of prison break.

On Friday, 23rd October 2020, Obaseki, Edo State Governor issued another 7 days ultimatum after issuing first ultimatum 3days ago to the escaped prisoners to return.

Meanwhile, one of the prisoner via his newly created social media handle said that he is now in Ghana that Obaseki should send some money to cater for his transport back to Nigeria.

Meanwhile, IGP had this evening issued stern warning to all hoodlums to stop vandalizing public properties and causing chaos that men of the Nigerian Police force had received orders to shot anyone causing unrest.
