Throwback Times Nigeria present to you this track by Jamaican foremost legendary singer-songwriter Peter Tosh.

He was born 1944, was killed 1987 by three man gang robbers whom the leader was someone He previously rendered help to. The robbers invaded his home seeking for money, tosh told them he had no money and they shot he him 2 times in the head, injuring others including his wife.

Peter tosh was part of Bob Marley's musical team until he later establish his own but before then this song Get Up, Stand Up has been written by him and Bob marley's wailers'.

He released his own version 1977 off the album Equal Right even though the old version has been previously released by The Wailers in 1973 off the album Burnin.
